Healthier Together

Impact Assessment

The Impact Assessment

To understand the potential implications of any service changes, the Healthier Together Programme has asked Mott MacDonald, to undertake an Integrated Impact Assessment of the proposals. This is separate to the public consultation.

What is an Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA)?

The purpose of the IIA is to identify likely positive and negative effects on different community and patient groups. It will consider impacts such as health outcomes, quality of care, travel and access.

The IIA will also look into ways in which any negative effects can be overcome and to identify opportunities to improve the proposals.

To provide local scrutiny to the assessment, an IIA Steering Group has been established and contains representatives from organisations across Greater Manchester.
